Core commitment.

Learning safety, human dignity, academic quality and responsible use of knowledge take precedence over individual or commercial interests or operational convenience.

1. Purpose and scope

The Code establishes minimum conduct principles for academic, administrative, scientific, technological, commercial and collaborative activities. Accepting it does not replace contracts, privacy policies, program guidelines or applicable professional obligations.

  • Respond politely and clearly, respecting institutional roles and channels.
  • Do not use academic or administrative positions to obtain improper advantages.
  • Prevent and report harassment, intimidation, discrimination, violence or retaliation.
  • Avoid relationships or decisions that compromise objectivity in assessments, scholarships, hiring or certifications.

5. Information, data and resources

  • Access only the data and documents needed for the assigned role.
  • Do not share passwords, databases, photographs, receipts or records through unauthorized channels.
  • Immediately report device loss, improper access or accidental disclosure.

  • Use trademarks, logos, algorithms, presentations, software and materials only within the authorized scope.
  • Do not modify, translate, sublicense, sell or redistribute protected materials without written authorization.
  • Properly acknowledge authorship and scientific sources.
  • Do not present yourself as a REASEL representative, center, currently authorized instructor or spokesperson without the corresponding appointment.
  • Request approval when public material involves co-branding, advertising, sponsorship or institutional affiliation.

7. Conflicts of interest and anticorruption

Everyone must disclose personal, family, financial, academic or professional circumstances that could improperly influence a decision. Payments, gifts, promises, commissions or benefits intended to alter assessments, hiring, certifications, awards or institutional relationships are prohibited.

8. Reporting, investigation and non-retaliation

Concerns may be reported to legal@reaselatinoamerica.com or through institutional channels. Reports will be handled with reasonable confidentiality and without retaliation against anyone acting in good faith.

REASEL will seek an impartial review and allow those involved to learn of relevant allegations and provide information before a determination is made, except for urgent protective measures.

9. Corrective measures

Depending on severity, recurrence, risk and harm, measures may include guidance, training, reprimand, access restriction, suspension, withdrawal of authorization, contract termination, public correction or legal action. The measure must be proportionate and documented.

10. Acceptance and review

Members subject to this Code must accept the current version and the policies related to their role. REASEL may update it when regulations, programs, technology or the institutional structure change, retaining version traceability.
